Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to review and answer it. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server logs can collect technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Device type and operating system
- Referring site, when one is reported
- Browser name and version
- Visited pages and approximate time on them
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They and analytics services help combine traffic data, such as which pages are used most and where a session ends. A browser can block or remove cookies, although some features may then behave differently.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Zavala County Criminal History does not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general routing information for county clerks, the sheriff and jail, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a report about another person, and this operation is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools. Their privacy policies govern any query entered into those boxes, along with their retention, pricing, and sharing choices. Review the provider's terms before submitting information because this policy does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to county offices, courts, Texas agencies, legal resources, or outside tools. The destination's privacy policy applies once a visitor leaves this website. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Search providers receiving a query submitted through their tool
- Advertising networks serving material on a page
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so absolute protection or prevention of every breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18. A verified report that a minor supplied data will be reviewed so the information can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Texas law may provide rights that depend on the information and the entity holding it. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs public information held by Texas governmental bodies, while Government Code Chapter 411 limits dissemination of criminal-history record information. Those statutes do not turn this private resource into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about the visitor
- Ask for correction of inaccurate information
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of qualifying processing
